A portrait capturing the struggles and triumphs of Nelson Mandela's life , was auctioned at Stephan Welz & Co, Cape Town. 26th February 2014. Richard Stone's study sold for R1 million, ten times it's estimated value at an auction house. The portrait, measuring 29.5cm x 21.00cm had been valued at about R100.000, was bought by a Dutch charitable foundation.
