Commissioned by The Goldsmiths' Company, City of London, to hang at Goldsmiths' Hall. This is the first painting commissioned by the Company since a very young Queen Victoria.
Sittings at Clarence House started on 27 January 2009, with the last of six sittings on 25 November 2009. His Royal Highness is depicted in full Garter Robes.
HRH The Prince of Wales, accompanied by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, paid an official visit to Goldsmiths' Hall to unveil the portrait on 23 February 2011.
