Lord Grey of Naunton

Commissioned as a result of the success of my portrait of Sir Robert Carswell, who, as Pro Chancellor of the University of Ulster, recommended that I should paint the portrait of the Chancellor. Lord Grey was Chancellor of the University of Ulster from 1984 to 1993.

The sittings took place at the headquarters of the British Order of St John, Clerkenwell, London, where Lord Grey held the position of Lord Prior.
